Mijares strengthens its team with the addition of Jaqueline Aranda to launch a new International Trade department

In response to the growing demand of the global market and with the objective of strengthening its service offerings, Mijares Angoitia Cortés y Fuentes, S.C., announces the addition of Jaqueline Aranda as Counsel responsible for the new Foreign Trade practice area. This strategic addition will enable Mijares to offer comprehensive advice in foreign trade and customs matters, supporting clients with key issues in all customs regimes, certification of origin, customs regulations, and nearshoring.

In an increasingly globalized world, where nearshoring has become a key strategy to optimize supply chains and strengthen cross-border operations, Jaqueline’s expertise is essential. With over 25 years of experience in foreign trade and customs law, Jaqueline brings deep knowledge of the global trade environment. Throughout her career, she has advised national and international clients from various industries on complex foreign trade matters.

Jaqueline holds a Law degree from Universidad Panamericana, with a strong academic background and extensive experience in foreign trade and customs. Prior to joining Mijares, Jaqueline was an associate at Chevez, Ruiz, Zamarripa, and Baker & McKenzie, as well as a partner at García Seimandi, Flores y Villeda, S.C. Later, as an independent advisor, she participated in key proceedings before the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit and the Federal Court of Administrative Justice.

Jaqueline has extensive expertise in strategic areas such as customs dispute resolution and litigation, interpretation of treaties and international trade agreements, and advising companies with the implementation and compliance of export enhancement programs (IMMEX, PROSEC, CIVA). She has participated in NAFTA binational panels and represented clients on antidumping and countervailing duties matters. Recognized among the top 100 foreign trade advisors by Estrategia Aduanera since 2018, she has also excelled as Deputy Coordinator of the Foreign Trade Committee at the Mexican Bar Association.
